As Senior Advisor, Dr. Huang assists primarily with the firms’ global business development objectives. With his varied and rich background in business and intellectual property, he has significant insight in monetizing intellectual property across many industries.
Dr. Huang is an expert in technological commercialization. He was Vice President of IBM’s e-Commerce implementation, where he led IBM’s transformation into a successful e-Business industry leader, building a PC ecosystem, and integrating an OEM supply chain partners and demand chain channel/customer relationship management through e-Commerce. In 2000, he left IBM to help Taiwan e-Business transformation and managed the Taiwan e-Gov Project office as CIO.
He also worked as Senior Consultant at the National Library of Medicine/National Institute of Health, Head of Taiwan e-Gov PMO office, President & CEO of SingaLab (a R&D Lab of IBM and the Singapore government), and General Manager of Multimedia Business Unit, IBM Asia Pacific.
Dr. Huang is the CEO of Angstron Technologies, and Consultant to Ping-Tung County, Taiwan (in the Smart City Project). He was formerly the CEO/President of NanoTune Technologies, Adjunct Professor at Fordham University and Research Affiliate of the MIT Information Quality Program, Center for Technology, Policy and Industrial Development (CTPID).
Dr. Huang is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Launch 2011 Top Ten Energy Innovators, Illinois Fellowship, IBM Corporate Excellence Award, Gold Medal of Giga Information Award, and NLM Excellence Award.
