Brian K. Seidleck focuses his practice on patent procurement and client counseling. Mr. Seidleck has extensive experience with the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the chemical, electrical and mechanical technology areas. Mr. Seidleck’s practice also involves appeals before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. He has advised clients in developing and maintaining patent portfolios and has performed patent infringement and validity analysis for major international corporations.
Mr. Seidleck is a former partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. His practice focused on domestic and foreign client consulting in all phases of patent preparation and prosecution.
Mr. Seidleck also worked as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, where he examined patent applications pertaining to pharmaceutical preparations including tablets, pills, capsules, granules and powders. He also examined patent applications directed to bio-affecting and body treating compositions including cosmetic formulations.
While attending the University of Baltimore School of Law, he was a member of the Intellectual Property Law Journal and the Intellectual Property Law Society.
Mr. Seidleck is admitted to practice in the state of Maryland and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
